Recycle, Reuse, and Reinvent Yourself

Autumn is a great time to freshen up your closet. Visit Lisa's Closet and find the perfect piece to pair with favorites already in your closet. If you are like me and have never done consignment before, you will find the friendly atmosphere welcoming and the abundant inventory is artfully arranged. Clothing is sorted by color not size. It is a feast for the eyes.

Lisa's Closet is Consignment with Attitude! I picked up two Eileen Fisher tops this summer. For the autumn, there's lots of cashmere, coats, scarves, and hats. The jeweler is quite varied and excellent quality with some exquisite gold and silver pieces, as well as, lots of great chunky bracelets in lots of different colors and textures. Don't forget about designer bags and shoes!

My Aunt Frances, fashion diva in her time, told us to go through our closets every season and remove all things you haven't worn in a year and get rid of them. I try to follow this rule of thumb. Now that I have discovered Lisa's, when I find something trendy and seasonal that I no longer wear, bring it into Lisa. I brought some dangling earrings I bought in a high end boutique years ago that I no longer felt comfortable wearing. When I stopped in about a month later, it was like found money with which I bought the perfect black cashmere sweater from Ann Taylor. Much more useful for my current style of life. By the way, Lisa also does closet consultation. If only my Aunt had known, she would have had a new career.
